Rental Facilities


Whether it’s a company picnic, family reunion, wedding, or graduation party, the Wood County Park District has just the right facility for your group.


• Thompson Stone Hall (formerly known as Otsego Stone Hall)

   Otsego Park on the Maumee River (S.R. 65 at 235) near Grand Rapids.


Community Classroom 

   Park District Headquarters, Bowling Green.


Picnic Shelters

   William Henry Harrison Park, Pemberville.


The John & Virginia Hankison Great Room

   The Nature Center at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, Perrysburg.


The William & Elsie Knight Library

   The Nature Center at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, Perrysburg.


Barker Retreat Center (coming soon)

   Beaver Creek Preserve, Grand Rapids.     For scouts, youth groups, staff retreats. 

   Site  has a cabin, creek, camping area, wet woods, and pond.

Please reserve early. In order to maintain our facilities and staff schedules, we do not accept same month rentals. Rentals for the upcoming month close on the 20th of the month prior (for example, rentals for May close on April  20).

Reservations are accepted one year-to-the-day in advance. Payment is required upon reserving. Damage deposits are refunded in the form of a check from the Wood County Auditor’s Office.

Wood County Park District prides itself on maintaining clean parks and facilities. We do not provide keys, therefore you will need to establish arrival and departure times for your rental. A Park Ranger will meet you to open the facility and return to secure the facility at the times designated.  Please allow for your setup of tables and chairs, deliveries, decorating, as well as clean up and take-down of your event.  The Park District does not provide caterers, linens, table service or set up, or cleaning equipment.

Alcohol permits for Otsego Stone Hall and W.W. Knight Hankison Great Room rentals must be purchased (online, at Park District Headquarters, or call 419-353-1897) at least 45 days in advance for $225 total ($75.00 permit fee and $150 refundable damage deposit). 

Please note:  when renting one of our facilities, other events or meetings may also be occurring in the building and/or on the grounds during the same time period.

Just wanted to say we had a wonderful time camping last weekend!  My girls have talked a lot about what we did and how much fun they had and that makes us very happy!  Keep offering all the great Wood County park programs, they are a tremendous value to our community!  - Heather Janes
