The Wood County Park District is always looking for volunteers! 
If you can donate a few hours a year or a few hours a day, we have a volunteer opportunity that is right for you.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities

  • One-Time Opportunities: Help improve your parks and the environment by helping with an assortment of opportunities.  No experience is needed; everyone is welcome to help.  Click here to sign up for one-time volunteer programs (register for programs).
     
  • Long Term: There are long-term volunteer opportunities such as Adopt-A-Park, Adopt-A-Garden, and Adopt-A-Slippery Elm Trail.  Please call 419-353-1897 for more information about these wonderful opportunities.
     
  • Group: Groups may sign up for one-time opportunities.  Stewardship volunteer programs can also be set up for scout groups, Master Gardener service hours, or community groups.  Please contact Bryan Bockbrader, Stewardship Coordinator, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Volunteer Applications are required for any special event or long-term volunteer opportunity.  Volunteers who help on a regular basis are encouraged to have a form on file as well. 

 

Adult Volunteer Application - please fill this out and submit with a Volunteer Background Check Form

Youth Volunteer Application  - please fill this out if you are under 18.

Group/Family Volunteer Application - please fill this out if your group is interested in volunteering.

Volunteer Time Sheet - please fill this out and submit when full or at the end of each year.

Event Time Sheet - this form is available for tracking attendance at a specific volunteer event.  All of our volunteer groups are encouraged to use this form.
